Wei yangoum el sama domeena
Wei khodeena bei-eed wahdeena
Tawahna ya hawa
Wei amana ma yom ya hawa teigrahna
Weit-arabna, ma teib edna
Weit-farahna beihabayeibna
Wein khadna sho’, rayahna
Translation:
And love has thrown us away
And the taned’s eyelash
Has hooked us (me) with love
Oh, it really throws us gain and we got sleepy
And the one who hooked us should let us (me) go
It’s my beloved that has preoccupied my mind
Oh my father
You, who had thrown me with the beauty of your two eyes
